Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 2 for Parish Project No. P081102-8, Dunleith Canal Bank Stabilization - Phase 7, to increase the contract quantities for additional embankment materials and eliminate liquidated damages resulting in an increase of $58,950.00 in contract price and an increase in the contract time by 13 days.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish awarded a Contract to Baker Pile Driving & Site Work with a Contract Price of $1,407,557.00 and a Contract Time of 180 days; and,
WHEREAS, the Contractor required additional embankment material and additional time to construct this project; and,
WHEREAS, it is proposed to amend the Contract resulting in an increase in the Contract Price by $58,950.00 and an increase in the Contract Time by 13 days as shown on the attached Change Order form; and,
WHEREAS, the final Contract Price after Change Order No. 2 would be $1,439,007.00, which would be a net increase of $31,450.00 from the original Contract Price of $1,407,557.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 2 for Parish Project No. P081102-8, Dunleith Canal Bank Stabilization - Phase 7, to increase the Contract Price by $58,950.00 and increase the Contract Time by 13 days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2020, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
