Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing a home occupation operated by Bruce Kilmer - “Big Easy Gun Works, LLC” - a firearms dealer - at 23 Belle Helene Drive, Destrehan.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Section XXII states that the Parish Council must approve a home occupation requiring any state license or permit; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed home occupation proposed by Bruce Kilmer requires licensing by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and,
WHEREAS, at a meeting on October 4, 2012, the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed home occupation and the follow stipulations recommended by the Planning and Zoning Director:
1. That Mr. Kilmer submit his federal firearms license to the Planning and Zoning Department prior to obtaining zoning compliance.
2. That no transfer of firearms ever occurs at the residence.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the home occupation application by Bruce Kilmer to operate “Big Easy Gun Works, LLC”- selling and transferring firearms via the internet and at gun shows-is approved.
SECTION II. That upon receipt of Mr. Kilmer's federal firearms license, the Department of Planning & Zoning is authorized to grant a home occupation permit to operate “Big Easy Gun Works” - selling and transferring firearms via internet- at 23 Belle Helene Drive, Destrehan.
SECTION III. That the approval of the home occupation permit is contingent upon the following stipulations:
1. That Mr. Kilmer submit his federal firearms license to the Planning and Zoning Department prior to obtaining zoning compliance.
2. That no transfer of firearms ever occurs at the residence.
