Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles to terminate the Engineering Services Contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc. for the P030611, Willowdale Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I Project.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance 04-4-8, adopted April 5, 2004, authorized an Engineering Services Contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc., Inc. for the P030611, Willowdale Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I Project; and,
WHEREAS, the probable construction amount is over budget and a construction contract will not be put out to bid as currently designed; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish intends to pursue grant funding for this and other canal stabilization projects; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends and requests the Engineering Services Contract be terminated.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Hartman Engineering, Inc. for the P030611, Willowdale Canal Bank Stabilization, Phase I Project, Parish Ordinance 04-4-8, adopted April 5, 2004, be hereby terminated.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute any documents necessary to effect said termination.
