IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles 14 Year Old Girls All-Stars have excelled in the 2002 All-Star Basketball Season; and,
WHEREAS, on March 31, 2002, the St. Charles 14 Year Old Girls All-Stars finished in first place in the State Tournament in Walker, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, on April 6, 2002, the St. Charles 14 Year Old Girls All-Stars won the 14 Year Old National Pre-Prep Tournament in Slidell, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the 14 Year Old Girls All-Stars have won their second consecutive Pre-Prep State and National Championships; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2002 St. Charles 14 Year Old Girls All-Stars and their coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
THE ST. CHARLES 14 YEAR OLD GIRLS ALL-STARS
