Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with EVANS-GRAVES ENGINEERS, INC., for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P130601 Sunset Pump Station Improvements.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering services for Parish Project No. P130601 Sunset Pump Station Improvements. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, construction, and inspection services; and,
WHEREAS, the Sunset Pump Station will be expanded with the installation of two 30in high flow self-contained diesel powered hydraulic pumps placed on a compacted stone foundation; and,
WHEREAS, this project has an approved Federal Grant HMGP#4080-089-0001 in the amount of $561,199; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable budget is as follows:
Engineering Services (Basic) $ 78,523.66
Construction $ 1,048,380.00
Other Project Cost $ 60,338.00
Advertising, recordation, Land Acquisition, Inspection, Right-of-Ways, Permits, Surveying, Soil Testing, etc.
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $ 1,187,241.66
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the contract for Engineering Services between EVANS-GRAVES ENGINEERS, INC. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
