Title
A resolution to amend the Parish Council Rules to revise Rule 15. to clarify the Chairman’s allowance to make a motion.
Body
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby amend Rule 15. to read as follows:
RULE 15. (AS WRITTEN)
No motion shall be put or debated in the Council or in a committee unless it is seconded. When a motion is seconded, it shall be stated by the Chairman.
RULE 15. (REVISED)
No motion shall be put or debated during a St. Charles Parish meeting or in a committee meeting of the Council unless it is seconded. When a motion is seconded, it shall be stated by the Chairman. The Chairman is not prohibited from making a motion.
