IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Kevin Lyle Harvey is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin is a Jr. Assistant Scout Master and member of Troop 371, chartered by the Luling United Methodist Church; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin has spent the last 11 years as an active member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin has earned his 11 required and 10 elective badges from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project, heading a group of Adult Leaders and Boy Scouts in constructing a driveway and parking extension at the Parsonage of Luling United Methodist Church to achieve the rank of EAGLE SCOUT; and
WHEREAS, Kevin earned these 21 required badges by showing leadership ability as senior patrol leader, patrol leader, quartermaster, assistant senior patrol leader and numerous other leadership roles; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT in December 2000 and received his medal in a ceremony on May 18, 2001, at the Luling United Methodist Church; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin can continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT earning additional badges, called eagle palms, in gold, silver and bronze comprised of 5 merit badges by showing spirit and satisfactory development in demonstrating leadership ability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
KEVIN LYLE HARVEY
