Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No.1 (Final) for Ellington Levee- Phase II, Project No. P080905-5C, as part of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Project, to decrease the contract amount by $631,029.87 and increase contract time by twenty three (23) days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 18-2-4 adopted February 26, 2018, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Pontchartrain Partners, LLC Ellington Levee, Phase II Project No. P080905-5C, in the amount of $3,520,084.30; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 (Final) is a result of changes within the scope of the contract to modify quantities to accurately reflect the final balancing of the project line items for the construction amount, and to add a Lump sum amount of $50,646.00 for the replacement of crane mats to repair/restore two crane matted pipeline crossings used for hauling; and,
WHEREAS, the decrease in contract amount by $631,029.87 is a result of a decrease in quantity for six (6) bid line items, an increase in quantity for five (5) bid line items, the addition of three (3) bid line items and the deletion of six (6) bid line items; and,
WHEREAS, the increase in contract time by twenty three (23) days is a result of revised quantities for additional seeding and for plan modification of canal fill from Kellogg PS to Cousins PS.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No.1 for Ellington Levee-Phase II Project No. P080905-5C, as part of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Project, to decrease the contract amount by $631,029.87 and increase the contract time of twenty three (23) days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said change order on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
