Title
A resolution in support of the Planning and Zoning Commission approval of 2025-3-SPU for an Accessory Dwelling Unit in an R-1A zoning district on Lots 124, 125, 126, 127, and a 10’ strip reserved, Square 3, Evangeline City Subdivision, Unit 3, 522 Evangeline Road, Montz as requested by Shelley Berthelot Villeret.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires a resolution of support from the Parish Council in order to permit an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU); and,
WHEREAS, Shelley Berthelot Villeret requests a special permit for an ADU on Lots 124, 125, 126, 127, and a 10’ strip reserved, Square 3, Evangeline City Subdivision, Unit 3, 522 Evangeline Road, Montz; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the special permit for the ADU at its regular meeting on July 10, 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL hereby provides this resolution in support of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s approval of a Special Permit Use for an Accessory Dwelling Unit in an R-1A zoning district on Lots 124, 125, 126, 127, and a 10’ strip reserved, Square 3, Evangeline City Subdivision, Unit 3, 522 Evangeline Road, Montz, as requested by Shelley Berthelot Villeret.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote; the vote thereon was as follows:
And the resolution was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2025, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
