Title
An ordinance to approve and to authorize the execution of Change Order No. One (1) for the Paradis Force Main Project to increase the contract time by 6 days and to increase the contract price by $67,740.39.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 99-7-5, adopted by St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with "K" Construction, Inc. for the construction of a force main in the amount of $250,775.00, and
SECTION II. That it is necessary to amend the contract to adjust the contract time by 6 days to account for delays encountered in the through the improper location of underground utilities and to provide for the purchase of pipe that was not included in the original bid tabulation through a transposition error, and
SECTION VI. That it is necessary to increase the contract time by 6 days and the contract price by $67,740.39.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE
ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution
of Change Order No. One (1) to the contract for the Paradis Force Main Project and to increase the contract time by 6 days and to increase the contract price by $67,740.39.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
