Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Danny J. Hebert, P.E. for necessary professional engineering services associated with the Cast Iron Replacement - Hwy. 631, Boutte, LA, WWKS51.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering services for the Cast Iron Replacement - Hwy. 631, Boutte, LA, WWKS51. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the probable project cost is as follows: Project I
Basic Engineering Services $44,679.00
Topographic and Boundary Surveys $10,475.00
Misc. Expenses and Other Testing $7,646.00
Construction cost $530,000
Total Probable Project Cost $592,800.00
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the provisions of the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article I, Section 2-12, Qualification Based Selection procedures for the procurement of architects and engineers is hereby waived.
SECTION II. That the contract for Engineering Services between Danny J. Hebert, P.E., LLC and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION III. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
