IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Kenneth L. Thompson, Jr. a resident of Des Allemands, Louisiana has been an employee for St. Charles Parish for 17 years, his current position being Equipment Operator, III for the Department of Public Works; and,
WHEREAS,      while driving on his day off along Highway 90 in Paradis, Kenneth noticed the pumps were running and knew the only time the pumps should be running is during heavy rains or flooding; and,
WHEREAS,      acting quickly, Kenneth inspected the situation and noticed a 20-foot breach in a section of the levee that runs behind Hahnville High School; and,
WHEREAS,      Kenneth quickly informed his supervisor, gathered a crew together, and worked on fixing the problem saving the Parish thousands of dollars; and,
WHEREAS,      Kenneth should be publicly recognized for his dedication to his job and to St. Charles Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer our sincere appreciation for your dedication to your job and to St. Charles Parish by offering this tribute and recognition to
