Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. P070701, Maryland Drive Bridge Crossing, to add a line item for 10-Inch Depth Portland Cement Concrete Pavement and to increase the contract amount by $35,729.22.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 09-4-4 adopted April 6, 2009 by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of Parish Project No P070701, Maryland Drive Bridge Crossing, to Byron E. Talbot Contractors; and,
WHEREAS, the relocation of an Entergy power line has added an additional unforeseen expense which need to be accounted for; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to account for the relocation of the power lines and to address other minor changes made for successful completion of the project and adjust the original contract quantities with current quantities resulting in an increase to the contract amount by $35,729.22.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. To approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. No P070701, Maryland Drive Bridge Crossing, to increase the contract amount by $35,729.22.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order.
