IN   RECOGNITION
WHEREAS,      Breianna Elizabeth Bordelon is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Norco, Louisiana with her parents Brandi and Bryan Bordelon and her younger sister Brynne; and,
WHEREAS,      Breianna is currently a 2nd Grader at Norco K-3 Elementary School; and,
WHEREAS,      Breianna recently applied for a grant from the Disney "Friends for Change" program; and,
WHEREAS,      this program is about taking steps together with family and friends to make a positive impact on the world, people, and animals that live here.  The Disney Friends for Change Grant offers young change-makers an opportunity to receive a $1,000.00 grant to help make a lasting, positive change in the world; and,
WHEREAS,      Breianna is hosting Project "Help it Forward"; a large donation drive to support and/or help the River Parish Women Shelters and Child Advocacy Centers.  This drive will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 9 am - 5 pm, at Sacred Heart School in Norco and they are accepting donations of clothes, toys, shoes, furniture, and baby supplies; and,
WHEREAS,      Breianna has already received help from area businesses such as Dollar General, Shell Norco, Winn Dixie, and Office Depot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

FOR HER EFFORT IN MAKING A CHANGE
