IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 16U All-Star Team have excelled in the 2014 All-Star Softball Season; and,
WHEREAS, June 8, 2014, the 16U All-Star Team finished first at the ASA Governor's Games held in Hammond; June 22, 2014, they finished first in the 18U Sr. Division Coquille All Star Tournament held in Covington; and July 11, 2014, they finished first in the Jr. Olympic State Championship held in Hammond; and,
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2014, the 16U All-Star Team went undefeated and finished first in the Babe Ruth State Tournament held July 3-6th in Houma, allowing them to advance to the Southwest Regional Tournament; and,
WHEREAS, on July 20, 2014, the 16U All-Star Team went undefeated and finished first in the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional Tournament held July 14-20th in Dumas, Texas, allowing them to advance to the Babe Ruth World Series; and,
WHEREAS, July 29 - August 5, 2014, the 16U All-Star Team finished fifth in the Babe Ruth World Series held in Pittsfield, Massachusetts; and,
WHEREAS, members of the St. Charles Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of members of the 2014 St. Charles Parish Girls Babe Ruth 16U All-Star Team and their Coaches.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
