Title
A resolution approving, authorizing, and ratifying the submission of a grant application to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for participation in the Louisiana Litter Abatement Grant Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council is interested in controlling litter in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, many successful litter programs have started with grant funding assistance through the Louisiana Litter Abatement Grant Program of the Department of Environmental Quality; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is interested in establishing a Litter Abatement Program and would like to work closely with the officials of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality in establishing an effective program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby approve, authorize, and ratify the submission of a grant application to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for participation in the Louisiana Litter Abatement Grant Program.
