Title
A resolution creating a QBS Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee as specified in the adopted Policies and Procedures for Boards, Commissions, and Committees for St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council recognizes the important role which Advisory Committees have had in providing valuable input into their decision making process; and,
WHEREAS, former Members of the Parish Council could provide recommendations and advice on Qualification Based Selection Procedures for the Procurement of Professional Architects and Engineers Services.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION I. That the "QBS Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee" be created whose purpose shall be to provide specific recommendations and advice on whether QBS functions as prescribed in Ordinance 92-11-2, adopted November 2, 1992, repealed by Ordinance No. 93-2-20, adopted February 15, 1993, and if changes or modifications should be made to improve the selection process. The function of the QBS Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee shall be to review the makeup of the QBS Committee, and audit the entire process from selection to job completion. The Committee should provide recommendations to the Parish Council on changes or modifications to improve the selection process.
SECTION II. That a "QBS Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee" shall be a Sub-Committee of the Parish Council and composed of five (5) former Members of the Parish Council
SECTION III. Any Committee Member can be removed with proper notice by a vote of two-thirds (6 members) of the Parish Council.
SECTION IV. This Committee shall be in existence for 3 (three) months or until the project is completed not to exceed 6 (six) months.
SECTION V. That the Committee shall be required to meet as necessary to conduct its business in an orderly and timely mann...
