Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for the Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility Project, to increase the contract time by 23 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13-2-4 adopted on February 4, 2013, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a Consulting Services Contract with Danny J. Hebert, P.E., LLC. d.b.a. Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers for the design and construction management of the renovation of the Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 22-5-13 adopted on May 16, 2022, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a construction contract with Lakeview Construction & Development, LLC, for Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility, in the amount of $371,488.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to issue a change order to add 23 days to the contract due to a delay by Entergy with the transformer installation; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Contract resulting in an increase in the approved contract time from 120 days to 143 days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for the Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility Project, to increase the contract time by 23 days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
