ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the LSU Ag Center for the continued support of the St. Charles Parish Cooperative Extension Service through June 30, 2015.
Body
WHEREAS, via a partnership of the United States Department of Agriculture, the Louisiana State University Ag Center and St. Charles Parish the local Cooperative Extension Service delivers services and programs to the residents of our Parish; and,
WHEREAS, on October 3, 2005 the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 05-10-1 approving a Cooperative Agreement with the LSU Ag Center for continued support of the St. Charles Parish Cooperative Extension Service; and,
WHEREAS, said Agreement was for a five year period expiring on June 30, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the LSU Ag Center and the St. Charles Parish Council to continue this partnership through a Cooperative Agreement for the period July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2015.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the LSU Ag Center and the St. Charles Parish Council Cooperative Agreement to Support and Administer Louisiana Cooperative Units Off Campus is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement.
