An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 00-8-12, a lease to house the River Parishes Workforce Investment Office for St. Charles Parish, to enlarge the office and extend the lease.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 00-8-12, on August 21, 2000, approving a lease for the River Parishes Workforce Investment Office for St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the Office is in need of expanding its work area to accommodate the current work load and staffing; and,
WHEREAS, the owners of the facility have agreed to build out an additional 2,500 square feet of office space to accommodate the needs of the W.I.A. Program; and,
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the Lease has been prepared to provide for the build out and to extend the current lease; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said Amendment.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 1 to the Lease by and between D.J.V., LLC and St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
