Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Wetland Watchers Park, to add Alternate No. 2 for the Large Pavilion and additional picnic tables, to add additional costs due to delays in permitting, and to increase the contract amount by $211,600.00 to cover the costs of these changes.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 09-10-13 adopted October 20, 2009 by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of Wetland Watchers Park to Echo Ventures, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, due to delays in Permitting Wetland Watchers Park, the Notice to Proceed on this project wasn't issued until January 13, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, because of the delay material costs associated with the project have risen; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish to expand the scope of the project to include the large center pavilion and additional picnic tables, essentially completing the main body of the park in 2010.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Wetland Watchers Park in the amount of $211,600.00 is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
