Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Act of Donation by St. Charles Parish to the St. Charles Parish Law Enforcement District for a certain 7.7390 Acre parcel of property, identified as Lot 4B-2, Ashton Plantation located along Sugarland Parkway in Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, on January 22, 2001 the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 01-1-18 accepting an Act of Onerous Donation by Esperanza Land Company of Tract 4-B located along Sugarland Parkway in Ashton Plantation; and,
WHEREAS, said Tract of land contained 33.98 acres and Sheriff Greg Champagne has requested that the Parish Donate a certain 7.7390 acre portion of said tract to the St. Charles Parish Law Enforcement District for the Sheriff's Office to construct an office building; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said request.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Act of Donation by St. Charles Parish to St. Charles Parish Law Enforcement District for Lot 4B-2, located along Sugarland Parkway, Ashton Plantation in Luling is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Act of Donation on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2009, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
