Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) for the P970702 Paul Maillard Road Sidewalk project to increase the contract amount by $29,325.71.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 99-12-13 adopted December 6,1999, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with LA Contracting Enterprises, LLC for the construction of the Paul Maillard Road Sidewalk project in the amount of $450,238.00.
SECTION II. That Ordinance ________ adopted ___________, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. One (1) to decrease the contract amount by $158,371.51.
SECTION III. That it is necessary to increase the contract amount by $29,325.71 and to reimburse the contractor for lost profit and overhead due to a reduction in the contract price.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. Two (2) to the contract for the Paul Maillard Road Sidewalk project to increase the contract amount by $29,325.71; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute this Change Order to the contract.
