ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a construction contract with TBT Contracting, Inc. for Project No. P190401, West Bank Yard Building, in the amount of $788,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the existing offices for Parish employees at the West Bank Yard are currently located in leased trailers that are in fair to poor condition; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish desires to construct and own a permanent building for the West Bank Yard employees and then remove the trailers and discontinue the lease; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on February 2, 2021, for the West Bank Yard Building project (refer to attached bid tabulation); and,
WHEREAS, Murray Architects, Michael Tabb, AIA, the Consulting Architect for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the Contract be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, TBT Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $788,000.00 (refer to attached recommendation letter).
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of TBT Contracting, Inc. for the construction of Project No. P190401, West Bank Yard Building, is hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $788,000.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION lll. A final Notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
