IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Andree Leinweber, a resident of Luling, Louisiana, a retired teacher who has dedicated over 20 years of her professional career to the enrichment of education; and,
WHEREAS, Andree volunteers for many various events and activities throughout St. Charles Parish through organizations and through her own accord; and,
WHEREAS, Andree volunteers at Luling Elementary School to work in their butterfly garden, participates in United Way activities, including the United Way Bridge Run, weekly at the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter, walking dogs, collecting blankets and food, cleaning up and even fostering dogs; and,
WHEREAS, Andree is on the Ashton Social Committee and plans and organizes events for children and the adults in the community and helps keep all the holiday d?cor in place and hangs flags and d?cor each holiday season; and,
WHEREAS, Andree has spent many years assisting in the public library and continues to volunteer in the public school libraries for Book Fairs and reading activities; she is actively involved in elections, serving as a poll watcher and assisting several candidates; and,
WHEREAS, Andree may be "retired" but is always there to help out the community and never tells anyone "no", as she sees it as her personal responsibility to help others; and,
WHEREAS, Andree was recently awarded "Citizen of the Year" on April 17, 2024 in St. Charles Parish by the St. Charles Parish Rotary Club at their annual Citizen of the Year Banquet in Luling.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
