An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the River Road Historical Society to relocate the St. Charles Parish Tourist Information Center Office on the premises of Destrehan Plantation.

WHEREAS, it is the intent of St. Charles Parish to relocate its Tourist Information Center Office; and,
WHEREAS, the River Road Historical Society has agreed to host the St. Charles Parish Tourist Information Center Office on the premises of Destrehan Plantation; and,
WHEREAS, the relocation of the Tourist Information Center Office to the premises of Destrehan Plantation has a public purpose and is in the public interest of St. Charles Parish, the State of Louisiana and its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with authority granted by Constitution of the State of Louisiana, in order to serve the public for the purposes hereinafter declared, St. Charles Parish and the River Road Historical Society entered into this Cooperative Endeavor Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the River Road Historical Society and St. Charles Parish is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Cooperative Endeavor Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:




And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2014, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
