Title
A resolution authorizing the Parish President to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency for the St. Charles Inflow/Infiltration Reduction Program.
Body
WHEREAS, The Environmental Protection Agency section of the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2002 (P.L. 107-73) included funding in the State and Tribal Assistance Grants (STAG) account for Special Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects; and,
WHEREAS, said Act included funding to address non-compliance issues regarding the Luling Oxidation Pond in the amount of $873,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has prepared a Cooperative Agreement to provide said funding to the Parish; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to authorize the Parish President to execute said Cooperative Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby authorize the Parish President to execute said Cooperative Agreement on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
