In Recognition: Hahnville High School Lady Tigers District 6-5A State Champions

WHEREAS, the Hahnville High School Lady Tigers Softball Team have excelled in the District 6-5A Softball Season, finishing the regular season with a 32-3 overall record; and,
WHEREAS, the Lady Tigers faced a tough road on their way to the District 6-5A Championship in Sulpher, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, the Lady Tigers defeated the defending Champions, St. Thomas More 8-0 in the quarterfinals, then knocked off the No. 1 seed, Barbe 3-1 in the semifinals; and,
WHEREAS, on April 30, 2011 the Lady Tigers defeated Denham Springs 6-2 capturing their first-ever State District 6-5A Softball Title while also becoming the only girls' team in the history of Hahnville High School to win a State Championship in any sport; and,
WHEREAS, the Lady Tigers have not allowed a team to score seven runs against them in three years; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of the Hahnville High School Lady Tigers Softball Team and their Coaching Staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
