Title
A resolution providing mandatory support for the Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of a religious institution in an R-1A(M) zoning district with a waiver the required setback of one foot for each foot of building height from all property lines at 17294 River Road, Montz as requested by Providence Baptist Church #2.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires a supporting resolution of the Parish Council to waive any zoning requirements for a special permit use; and,
WHEREAS, Providence Baptist Church #2 requests a special permit use for a new church building with a waiver from the required setback of one foot from all property lines for each foot of building height; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the special permit use with a waiver from the required setback of one foot from all property lines for each foot of building height at its regular meeting of September 7, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provides this resolution in support of the Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of a Special Permit Use for a church at 17294 River Road, Montz with a waiver from the required setback of one foot for each foot of building height from all property lines as requested by Providence Baptist Church #2.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
