Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No P111002-13, H.010843 Ormond Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation, to account for additional work requested as well as compensate for unseen site conditions that will increase the contract by $278,528.24.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 16-1-11 adopted January 12, 2016 by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of Parish Project No P111002-13, H.010843 Ormond Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation, to Barriere Construction Co, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to adjust the original contract quantities with quantities as a result of requested additional work and unforeseen site conditions resulting in an increase to the contract amount by $278,528.24.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. P111002-13, H.010843 Ormond Boulevard Pavement Rehabilitation, to increase the contract amount by $278,528.24 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ________, 2016, to become effective five (5) days after this publication in the official journal.
