Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles, amending the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, Chapter 2 Administration, Article 1. - In General, by adding Section 2-16.7 Planning and Zoning Department - Complaint Records.
Body
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to have the name of the individual who files a complaint regarding violations of Parish Codes and Ordinances be kept anonymous and recorded as such when the complaint is filed unless the individual specifically requests that their name be recorded in the records; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the St. Charles Parish Council that the names of elected officials filing such complaints not be anonymous and shall be recorded in the records.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2 Administration, Article 1 - In General, be amended by adding Section 2-16.7 to read as follows:
Section 2-16.7 Planning and Zoning Department - Complaint Records
(a) The name of an individual which files a complaint regarding a violation(s) of Parish Codes and Ordinances be kept anonymous and recorded as such when the complaint is taken unless the individual specifically requests that their name be recorded in the records, and,
(b) The names of elected officials who file complaints regarding a violation(s) of Parish Codes and Ordinances shall be recorded in the records.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:




And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2012, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
