A resolution supporting the three projects located in St. Charles Parish, that have been nominated for funding under Coastal Wetland Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) on Priority List #9.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council would like too support the
efforts of the CWPPRA Task force and its decision making
process; and,
WHEREAS, three projects have been nominated for priority list # 9 in St. Charles
Parish ; and,
WHEREAS, the three projects, PPO-7a (Labranche Wetlands Terracing/Planting),
XPO-54a (Southwest Lake Pontchartrain Sediment Trapping) and XPO-55a
(Opportunistic use of Bonnet Carre Spillway) are important to the continued
restoration of the LaBranche Wetlands in St. Charles Parish; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby support proposed projects PPO-7a, XPO-54a and XPO-55a, and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the CWPPRA Task Force.
