Title
A resolution endorsing a waiver from Appendix A, St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, Section VIII. Site Design Requirements, A. Off-street parking in general, item 2 as requested by the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires the Parish Council endorse waivers from Zoning Regulations for Special Exception Uses; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation requested a Special Exception to expand a park in an R-1A zoning district on Parcel B, 279 Ashton Plantation Boulevard, Luling; and,
WHEREAS, the submitted Topographic and Boundary Survey by Matthew J. Ledet, PLS dated June 7, 2024 shows a 445 ft. by 220 ft. parking area on Parcel B; and,
WHEREAS, the applicant requests a waiver to allow this parking area to consist of an aggregate surface instead of the permanent dust-free paving required under Section VIII., item A.2.; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the waiver at its meeting on July 11, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provides this supporting authorization to endorse a waiver from Section VIII., item A.2 requiring parking areas to consist of permanent dust-free paving on Parcel B, 279 Ashton Plantation Boulevard, Luling as requested by St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
