RESOLUTION NO.
Title
A resolution asking the Department of Transportation and Development to construct a right turn lane on Barton Avenue at its intersection with U.S. 90.
Body
WHEREAS, the intersection of Barton Avenue and U.S. 90 is a major traffic intersection in St. Charles Parish; and,

WHEREAS, construction of a right turn lane would provide some relief to vehicles backed up on Barton Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, construction of a right turn would also minimize hazardous conditions which develop when vehicles stop on the railroad crossing; and,
WHEREAS, establishment of a right turn lane would reduce the Department of Transportation and Development's shoulder maintenance problem at the intersection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby ask the Department of Transportation and Development to construct a right turn lane on Barton Avenue at its intersection with U.S. 90.
