Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 25-5-3, which approved the Professional Services Agreement with Quality Engineering & Surveying for the Ama Park Renovations (Project No. RECAPR25), in the not to exceed amount of $25,175.00.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 25-5-3 adopted on May 5, 2025, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Quality Engineering & Surveying for engineering services for the Ama Park Renovations, in the amount not to exceed $85,150.00; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish plans to improve the overall experience for our residents when they visit and utilize Ama Park by adding a cover to the new basketball court and will allow residents to utilize the basketball court during inclement weather and provide shade on hot sunny days; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish and Quality Engineering & Surveying have mutually agreed to increase the fees by $25,175.00 for the work of the basketball court cover, which increases the overall contract value to not to exceed $110,325.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Quality Engineering & Surveying, in the not to exceed amount of $25,175.00, is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of __________, 2026, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
