IN RECOGNITION


WHEREAS, George Frank Davis, III is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Frank and Martha Davis and brother Wesley; and,
WHEREAS, George was a member of Troop 41, chartered by Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling, he started his Scouting career with Pack 371 at the age of 6; and,
WHEREAS, George has spent the last 12 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, George has earned his 12 required badges and 12 elective badges from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by designing and renovating the playground at Holy Family Catholic Church by removing and replacing structures that were in violation of safety codes, fencing in the A/C unit, removing unsightly shrubs, adding gravel to the playground area, and rebuilding playground equipment; and,
WHEREAS, George earned these 24 required badges by showing leadership ability as patrol leader, senior patrol leader numerous times, and troop scribe; and,
WHEREAS, George rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on February 8, 2003, under Troop 41 and will receive his medal in a ceremony on May 10, 2003, at Holy Family Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, George will continue to grow by using his leadership abilities acquired in training for his EAGLE SCOUT awards by graduating from High School and will report to the Air Force Academy on June 26, 2003, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
GEORGE FRANK DAVIS, III
