A resolution to grant permission to the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Boulevard, Destrehan, LA 70047, to solicit contributions at the intersections of Ormond Boulevard and River Road (LA 48) and Ormond Boulevard and Airline Drive (US 61), on September 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, 2009, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

WHEREAS, Louisiana Revised Statute 32:218 B provides for the solicitation of contributions by non-profit organizations on a public roadway; and,
WHEREAS, the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Boulevard, Destrehan, LA 70047 has requested permission to solicit contributions at the intersections of Ormond Boulevard and River Road (LA 48) and Ormond Boulevard and Airline Drive (US 61), on September 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, 2009, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. for the purpose of contributing to the 22 Shriners' Hospitals throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada for the treatment of children with orthopedic problems, spinal cord injuries, serious burns, and facial plastic surgery needs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby grant permission to the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Boulevard, Destrehan, LA 70047 to solicit contributions at the intersections of Ormond Boulevard and River Road (LA 48) and Ormond Boulevard and Airline Drive (US 61) on September 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, 2009, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2009, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
