Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with ICON Construction Group, LLC, for the construction of a new concessions building at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on August 23, 2017, for the construction of a new concessions building to be located at the West Bank Bridge Park at 13825 River Road in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Campo Designs Architects, Inc. has reviewed the bids and recommends that the project be awarded to the low bidder, ICON Construction Group, LLC, in the amount of $234,500.00 which includes the Base Bid of $229,000.00 and Alternate No. 1 of $5,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That bid of ICON Construction Group, LLC, for the construction of the new concessions building is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $234,500.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2017, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
