IN RECOGNITION

WHEREAS, Raven Marie Scott, is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Boutte, Louisiana with her parents Craig and Andrea Scott and her brother Travis; and,
WHEREAS, Raven is a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, an 8th Grade Student at J. B. Martin Middle School in Paradis where she maintains a 3.8 GPA and has received the Consecutive Principal's List Award from 2001 to present; and,
WHEREAS, Raven is a talented drama student, a member of J. B. Martin's Jr. Beta Club, School and Community Club, President of J. B. Martin's 4-H Club, Jr. Leader in the St. Charles Parish 4-H Club, a member of the J. B. Martin's Volleyball, Basketball, and Track and Field Teams, was a member of the Student Council for 2003-2004, was nominated in 1999 and 2004 for Student of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, Raven graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in May 2003 and participated in her first modeling competition in June 2003. In August 2004, Raven participated in the Miss Jr. Teen Baton Rouge Pageant in Plaquemine, LA. In addition to winning the overall title of Miss Jr. Teen Baton Rouge in Division I, she won the Miss Congeniality Award, First Runner-Up in the Miss Photogenic Competition; and,
WHEREAS, Raven competed in Orlando Florida at the National Level, winning the title of “Cities of America Miss Jr. Teen 2004”; and,
WHEREAS, Raven's future plans do include more acting and modeling opportunities; she plans to graduate from a 4-year University; she would like to travel to Europe one day; and she hopes to star in or direct a major movie.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
RAVEN MARIE SCOTT

MISS JR. TEEN 2004”
