Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. Three (3) - Final for Parish Project No. P980701, Willowdale Drainage Pump Station, to balance contractual quantities with actual quantities.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 02-6-1 adopted June 3, 2002 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with D & O Contractors, Inc. for the construction of Willowdale Drainage Pump Station in the amount of $3,091,611.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 02-10-7 adopted October 7, 2002 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized Change Order No. One (1) to increase in the size of the triplex station from 360 CFS to 525 CFS to meet the entire West Bank Master Drainage Plan flow of 524 CFS for a construction contract increase of $473,714.00, resulting in a total contract price of $3,565,325.00; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 03-8-12 adopted August 18, 2003 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized Change Order No. Two (2) to increase contract time by thirty-seven (37) calendar days due to the time delays associated with Hurricane Lili, Tropical Storm Isadore, and Tropical Storm Bill; and,
WHEREAS, the project was completed by D & O Contractors, Inc. $749.48 under the Contract Price of $3,565,325.00; and,
WHEREAS, the project was completed by D & O Contractors, Inc. on the scheduled completion date of September 8, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. Three (3) - Final is necessary to close out the contract with D & O Contractors, Inc. for the construction of Parish Project No. P980701, Willowdale Drainage Pump Station.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
