IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Tonya Marie Gaubert, is a resident of Hahnville and the daughter of Reginald Gaubert and Glenda Fonseca Chouest; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya joined the Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Jr. Firefighter Program in 1995; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya is a Senior at Hahnville High School with a GPA of 3.0 and is a Member of the Choir; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya participates in ROTC, and serves as Cadet Major within the ROTC with the position as Personnel Officer; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya was recognized as Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Jr. Firefighter of the Year in 1999 and 2000; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya received the Air Force Jr. Reserve Officer Training Corps Silver Valor Award in 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya was named Chairperson of the Fire Department at their yearly installation of Officers Banquet; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya has been named Hahnville Volunteer Fire Department Jr. Firefighter of the Year for 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Tonya will attend Nicholls State University in the Fall majoring in Education.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
TONYA MARIE GAUBERT
