Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Max Foote Construction, for project S080501-6 Destrehan Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant H2S System and Secondary Wet Well in the amount of $1,070,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on October 28, 2010 for project S080501-6 Destrehan Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant H2S System and Secondary Wet Well; and,
WHEREAS, CH2MHILL, the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Max Foote Construction in the amount of $1,070,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this project will install a new secondary wet well that will allow routine inspection and repair of the existing primary wet well along with a new H2S control system that will prevent premature failure of all concrete protective linings; and,
WHEREAS, the Destrehan Wastewater Treatment Plant services the entire East Bank of St. Charles Parish, installation of this project will enhance plant equipment maintainability and longevity.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Max Foote Construction, for project S080501-6 Destrehan Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant H2S System and Secondary Wet Well, be hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $1,070,000.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
