    IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Brooke Clement is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Norco, Louisiana with her parents Alan and Lisa Clement and her two sisters Brittney and Brandie; and,
WHEREAS,      Brooke graduated from Destrehan High School as a 2006 Cum Laude Graduate with a 3.8 GPA, she received Good Sportsmanship for Volleyball and was nominated by her teachers to be a Peer Support Leader, and she received the TOPS Award for College; and,
WHEREAS,      Brooke is a member of Sacred Heart Church Parish in Norco; and,
WHEREAS,      for the past 11 years, Brooke has been a dancer at Joh'anna's Jazz In Motion; she enjoys shopping, reading magazines, watching old movies, and being with her family and friends; and,
WHEREAS,      Brooke is a Freshman at Southeastern Louisiana University where she is majoring in Elementary Education; and,
WHEREAS,      after College Brooke would like to come back to St. Charles Parish to teach for this great Parish of Plenty; Brooke states, "I want to be a teacher because I feel that a good teacher has a huge impact on a child's life.  I think teaching would be such a rewarding job for me because I love kids and helping people"; and,
WHEREAS,      Brooke describes herself as being dedicated, patient, and optimistic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
BROOKE CLEMENT
MISS ST. CHARLES PARISH FESTIVAL QUEEN XLIX
