Title
A resolution requesting the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to install "NO PARKING ON SHOULDER" signs on eastbound Highway 90 from the western property line of 15277 Highway 90 to the eastern property line of 15229 Highway 90.
Body
WHEREAS, there is no center turn lane in Paradis on Highway 90; and,
WHEREAS, numerous accidents have occurred in this particular area; and,
WHEREAS, a new business has recently opened; and,
WHEREAS, customers of the new business are parking on the shoulder of eastbound Highway 90; and,
WHEREAS, parking on the shoulder is making a dangerous situation worse for motorist travelling Highway 90 and those visiting the business.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to install "NO PARKING ON SHOULDER" signs on eastbound Highway 90 from the western property line of 15277 Highway 90 to the eastern property line of 15229 Highway 90.
