ORDINANCE NO.                   

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc. for the construction of Parish Project No. P050501, LA 18 Sidewalks - Ama, with Base Bid, Alternate 1, and Alternate 2 in the amount of $114,788.87.

Body

WHEREAS,      sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 24, 2006 for LA 18 Sidewalks - Ama; and,

WHEREAS,      Davezac Consulting Engineers, LLC, Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc., in the amount of $114,788.87.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That the bid of Frickey Brothers Construction, Inc., for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P050501, LA 18 Sidewalks - Ama, be hereby accepted, in the amount of $114,788.87.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
