IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Lacey Stockton, a resident of Norco, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish, is a Senior at Destrehan High School; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey has excelled in academics and is currently ranked third in her class; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey has been captain of the cheerleading squad for two years and co-captain of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for three years; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey is a member of Beta Club, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council, Prom Committee, Yearbook Staff, and Students Against Destructive Decisions; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey represented her school as a Girls State participant and has also participated in the literary rally for four years; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey has been selected as Destrehan High Schools Most Outstanding Sophomore and is both a Taylor Audubon Scholar and an All-American Cheerleader nominee; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey has been published in literary anthologies such as Poetic Realm and Creative With Words; and,
WHEREAS, Lacey was recently named "Student of the Year".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
LACEY STOCKTON
"PARISH OF PLENTY"
created in 1807 from the county of the
"German Coast", a parish of
unprecedented economic and social
development, known for its
hospitality, rural living and sporting
opportunitiesÂ… with the added
distinction of being located
on both sides of the
Mighty Mississippi River.
