Title
A resolution prohibiting all potential, nominated and/or qualified candidates for local, state or federal elected and/or appointed positions to use Committee, Regular Council Meetings or Special Meetings as a stepping-stone for a Political Forum.
Body
WHEREAS, Committee, Regular or Special meetings of the Parish Council shall not be used as a forum for candidates or individuals seeking an elected office or a politically appointed position; and,
WHEREAS, no individual shall be placed as an appearer on any agenda for the purpose of announcing, promoting or campaigning for elected office or a political appointment; and,
WHEREAS, no individual, in attendance at Committee, Regular or Special Meetings, will be granted permission to publicly address the Council or the audience for the purposes of announcing, promoting, or campaigning for an elected office or a political appointment.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby prohibit all potential, nominated and/or qualified candidates for local, state or federal elected and/or appointed position to use Committee, Regular Council Meetings or Special Meeting as a stepping-stone for a Political Forum.
