A resolution asking the Parish Council to support forwarding a letter for an opinion from the Attorney General, regarding whether the expenditure of an advertisement placed in the November 27, 2008, edition of the Official Journal complies with the Louisiana Constitution, Article VII, Section 14 A.
Body
WHEREAS,      Council Members are responsible for legislating laws for the general health, safety, and welfare of St. Charles Parish citizens and also to enforce the Home Rule Charter; and,
WHEREAS,      in order to legislate these laws, to uphold the St. Charles Parish Home Rule Charter, and to fully serve the electorate, the Parish Council Members must keep the general public informed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby support forwarding a letter for an opinion from the Attorney General regarding whether the expenditure of an advertisement placed in the November 27, 2008, edition of the Official Journal complies with the Louisiana Constitution, Article VII, Section 14 A.
