An ordinance to increase the per diem by amending Ordinance No. 99-8-12 which established and provided a per diem to be paid to the Members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

WHEREAS, on October 19, 1981, Ordinance No. 81-10-6 was adopted by the St. Charles Parish Council which established the Board of Adjustment and prescribed its powers and duties; and,
WHEREAS, on August 16, 1999, Ordinance No. 99-8-12 was adopted to establish the per diem paid to Members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to increase the per diem for the Members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the per diem to be paid to the Member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment shall be increased to sixty dollars ($60.00) for each meeting attended to a maximum of twelve (12) meetings per year.
SECTION II. That the per diem hereby established shall be effective June 1, 2007.
