IN   RECOGNITION
WHEREAS,      Larry McVay, III is a resident of Destrehan, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish where he lives with his parents Larry and Angie McVay and his sister Lindsey; and,
WHEREAS,      Larry McVay, III is a 2002 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Destrehan High School with a 3.8 grade point average.  He received a Regent's Scholar and Academic Excellence Diploma, and he is a TOPS Recipient; and,
WHEREAS,       Larry McVay, III had various Scholarship offers but will attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in the fall majoring in Engineering; and,
WHEREAS,      Larry McVay, III has excelled in baseball since starting T-Ball at the age of five until his most recent accomplishment as the unanimous coaches' selection of the Most Valuable Player in District 6-5A; and,
WHEREAS,      Larry McVay, III, second base player for the Destrehan Wildcats Baseball Team, received numerous additional recognitions: All State Academic Honor Roll, All State Team, LSWA Class 5A, 1st Team All-District 6-5A, 1st Team All River Parish and River Parish All Star Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
